Hot!

Hi Everyone! We've had quite a heat wave in Boston the past few days, and unfortunately, I think this is only preparing me for the hot weather to come in Togo! It was close to 100 degrees here yesterday! We went to Nathan's cousin's wedding on Saturday in Rhode Island and it was sweltering hot!! It was in a beautiful garden, though no one was able to sit until a couple of minutes before the bride walked down the aisle...the ceremony was in the direct sun light. However, the reception was under a tent and the temperatures cooled down as the night progressed. It was a beautiful wedding and I'm sure their pictures will turn out wonderfully! Here's Nathan and I...looking relatively non-sweaty ;-)

I've been reading other Peace Corps volunteers blogs that just went to Togo last week. They have wonderful stories to tell already. Check them out if you have a chance...

P.S. I just received my first pair of Chacos in the mail! We get a discount as PC volunteers! Hmm...Not quite as cute as my black heels! But I guess I'll need them over there...and not heels.

You guys look cute! It's been ridiculously hot down here and a bunch of outside weddings. It's hard to believe you have an anniversary coming up soon!
